People approach counselling for many different reasons. Sometimes it is just to get clear about a past experience or to change a habit.
At times in life you may identify a part, or parts of life, where you feel stuck.
I offer an impartial ear and a collaborative space for you to find the clarity or resolve you may be seeking.
The process of talking therapy and self understanding can be empowering.
I offer a space to explore and change the internal dialogue you may have from one that is negative and self critical, to one that is based upon
self respect.

Each session is 50 minutes long.
I suggest we work together for a minimum of 6 sessions in order to build the working alliance and decide from that time on how we work together ongoing. I offer a brief focused approach; which is suitable for working on a number of life situations which you may want to explore/change. And I also offer long term counselling options which suit when a client wants to explore their past and relationships in more depth.
I regularly discuss my work with my clinical supervisor. This is standard practice in my field and safeguards both you and I. My supervisor is bound by the same code of ethics which I adhere t
I usually suggest a free phone or video consultation where we discuss your needs in depth and discuss the way I work. I complete a clinical assessment during the consultation which will help identify the most supportive and suitable approach for you.
COUPLES COUNSELLING
For Couples my goal is to create a space for both partners to share their thoughts in a safe, respectful and trusting environment.
The basis for a strong and enduring relationship is one of
mutual love, trust and respect.
I believe that this can be achieved where there is intent to make the relationship work.
However stuck we may feel currently, with a new form of communication, there can be resolve when both partners truly want it.
We use the sessions to get your perspectives clearly heard and we will look at what gets in the way of intimacy.
I will offer techniques that can help you keep your relationship close and or revive the closeness which may have been lost,
while giving each other space for individual growth
and honouring your true individual selves.
Together we can work on :
Depression, fear, anger and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can
experience at some point in our lives.
Through counselling,
we can focus on reaching the clarity you are seeking by offering a space to process emotions and past situations that may be in the way of your moving forward in your life in a positive direction.
By working within a Group Counselling setting we can gain a deep understanding of ourselves in relation to the world around us.
In a group setting you can connect with others in a safe, confidential, supportive space and start to talk through the obstacles / stuck places which you may feel are holding you back from living a full life.
